John Dobai, a Holocaust survivor, shared with us his extremely moving experience of his time during the Second World War. This was organised through the Holocaust Educational Trust which seeks to enhance students awareness and understanding of this time. It was a invaluable experience for our students, and, together with Allan Cairns' assembly the previous week helped students to gain a more secure understanding of the events of the Holocaust and the atrocities of the Second World War. Upholding the principle of tolerance is the cornerstone of our philosophy at the College, and being able to highlight this through John's extremely moving talk was a hugely important assembly for everyone to reflect on.
